In the Catholic tradition, there are three categories: initiation, healing, and service. Sacraments of initiation are Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. Sacraments of healing are Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick. Sacraments of service are Holy Orders and Marriage. Initiation and healing benefit the believer while service is for the betterment of others.
