    Leonardo da Vinci painted The Last Supper around 1495 - 1497. His painting used a newly discovered technique of the period: linear perspective. Tintoretto also painted The Last Supper around 1592-1594, during the Late High Renaissance period. His painting used techniques of the Counter Reformation, which included dramatic lighting and angles.
